Now this breathtaking Neo-Georgian building offers both traditional and contemporary backdrops for conferences and dinners – as well as for some very special occasions.

With a licence for civil ceremonies, the venue is an unforgettable setting for a wedding or civil partnership celebration and a reception. Every one of its rooms has a unique feel; the pillared Reading Room can accommodate up to 150 guests for the ceremony, while a Champagne reception can be hosted in the evocative Old Council Chamber. We can serve you and your guests a wedding breakfast to remember in the elegant Common Room.

We provide the catering for the Six Clerks Restaurant & Bar, which sources British produce for seasonal menus, and a staff restaurant. This has hot food, on-the-go options and a salad bar catering for 250 people.

But it’s not just the staff or those who hire the event spaces managed by us that benefit from our expertise. We also cater for the public Reading Room, where visitors can enjoy coffee and cake.    

If you have a business meeting that includes a working lunch, we can serve our tasty Bento boxes. Following in the Japanese tradition, these allow you to conveniently enjoy three courses on one plate. Fresh meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are on offer, along with mouth-watering desserts.
