Old Royal Naval College

Standing on the banks of the Thames, The Old Royal Naval College is the jewel of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, considered to be the "finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles". This baroque masterpiece, designed by one of England’s most highly acclaimed architects, Sir Christopher Wren, offers a magnificent setting for weddings, corporate hire, receptions, banquets and film shoots.

The majestic building is found in Greenwich, just half an hour from central London and an easy 15 minutes from London Bridge, with a peaceful riverside location. Within lies The Painted Hall, often described as the "finest dining hall in Europe”. This stunning space was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor and features striking wall and ceiling decoration by Sir James Thornhill. Other areas available for hire include the Victorian Skittle Alley, The Admiral’s House and the Queen Mary and King William Undercrofts.

The Skittle Alley comes complete with original skittles and bowling balls and is ideal as additional entertainment or as a quieter room during wedding receptions or parties. It’s a unique space that will add a touch of fun to any event and give your guests a totally different experience.

The Admiral’s House is split into six wood panelled rooms of varying sizes, making it ideal for a range of meetings and professional events. It can be hired exclusively or in conjunction with one of the larger venues.

The colonnades, lawns and courtyards are also available to hire, offering ample green space and accommodating marquees. The colonnades can be hired in conjunction with other venue spaces to create your perfect wedding, reception or party, or team building event.
